Glashütte Original proves it's hip to be square

The world premiere of the vibrant Sixties Iconic Square Collection in New York

60s icons reimagined

On 31 January, in the hip New York district of Soho, Glashütte Original emphatically proved it is indeed hip to be square. Managing Director Thomas Meier presented the new Sixties Iconic Square Collection and both its historic and contemporary sources of inspiration at an exclusive launch event.

  • The five models in the Sixties Iconic Square Collection pick up on popular design elements from the sixties, and feature unusual, colourful dégradé dials. They are the products of a highly complex manufacturing process performed at the company's own dial manufactory in Pforzheim, using original tools from the 1960s.

  • The timepieces are powered by the automatic manufactory Calibre 39-34, which is refined with the classic elements of traditional Glashütte watchmaking.
